An out-of-this-world narrative story & musical for children and adults, Luke and the Runaway Moon, explores feelings of insignificance and self-esteem. This adventure provides perspective on how to positively deal with these feelings and emphasizes that everyone and everything is significant in their own individual way. "Luke" is an example of the 'fight or flight' human condition when faced with everyday problems. In Luke's case, he simply thinks about the prospects of running away and winds up in a dream where he's transported through the Universe on a cosmic musical adventure by a family of stars.
The underlying message throughout this cosmic, wacky, and unworldly dream-like adventure is that no one other than ourselves can make us happy or sad and that when feelings of sadness come, it's normal and only temporary. The manner in which we deal with these feelings not only has an impact on our own lives, but to those around us as well.

The primary cosmic characters from Luke and the Runaway Moon are found in a companion story entitled The Cosmic Ball which is a stand-alone from the original story/creative.
Quasar, the Papa Star, Zenith, the Mama Star, and Nova, the Baby Star serve as Jimmy’s tour guides through the Universe on an adventure to find Jimmy’s best friend (Jenna) who has just moved away. Much to Jimmy’s surprise, he discovers that The Star Family locates Jenna and has their tickets to The Cosmic Ball. Once at The Cosmic Ball, we discover that while the earth is sleeping, the planets are partying!
