A CHAIRity AFFAIR: BUTT ON HERE~www.careforkidsnow.com
BUTT ON HERE is the final creative project that I completed with my mother, Dorothy Roberts. We worked elbow to elbow; sorting buttons by color, shape and size. Our button-brainstorm began on Thanksgiving Day '09 and it was completed on Valentine's Day '10 weekend. Sadly, my mother, my friend, my guide passed away on February 26, 2010. Mom loved the concept of CHAIRity for kid's; raising funds for kids to attend summer camp. Our labor of love was auctioned March 19, 2010 and my husband Steve purchased the chair for me.
A special thanks to everyone who contributed to this project! The actual chair was donated by Jolene Roberts. Jo was the 'button project manager' who canvassed for buttons and even painted a few and hot-glued herself more than once! Our button team: Janet Endris, Linda McIver, Betty Ritchison, Susan Maxwell-Lewis, Maggie B Lewis and Ben & Sam Mitchell.
